Attacked by a 100+ pound German Shepard type dog

Visiting a friend in Paramount, CA, Holliana took her family's dog Luna out for a walk. In the driveway, before she even got to the sidewalk, they were attacked by a very large dog. Luna is about 50 pounds or so, but this dog was huge, easily over 100 pounds, and the fight was very vicious. Holliana still isn't really sure how she managed to get Luna free of it, but she did and quickly rushed her back into the house. Unfortunately, by the time she was able to get back outside the attacking dog had disappeared, and no one knows whose dog it was!

Luna's injuries

Luna was bleeding pretty badly, so she was rushed to the emergency vet as soon as they could, this was the VCA Lakewood, and they quoted nearly $3000 for treatment, which Holliana simply does not have. Fortunately she was able to reach out to some people who came up with some money, and arranged for the VCA to stabilize Luna, do some tests, and then take her home. The next morning she took her to her friends "regular" vet, where they have kept Luna over night and are doing x-rays, some thorough stitches, and minor surgery. It looks like she will not need a major surgery, but it is not sure yet. And while Luna is now stable, she still has severe wounds and Holliana does not have the money to pay the bill and get Luna back home! Can you please help share this story and donate to Luna? WOOOF!
